What is BAI Car Loan?
The BAI Escrow Current Account is a credit to the short-term treasury that aims to meet the operating needs of companies.
What are the access conditions for joining the product?
- Being a Bank customer for at least 3 (three) months;
- Positive assessment of the company's risk profile by a BAI client manager;
- A percentage will be added to the maximum credit amount to cover mandatory insurance policies that must be acquired within the scope of this credit;
- Permanent and irrevocable instructions for domiciling receipts at BAI until payment of all installments resulting from the Car Loan.
What are the advantages of subscribing to a Car Loan?
- Ease of purchasing a new vehicle for corporate use;
- Possibility of a total initial grace period of up to 2 (two) months.
What currency is used?
The currency used is the Kwanza (Kz).
What is the amount available for the credit?
- The maximum value of the vehicle to be financed is equivalent in Kwanzas (Kz) 25,000,000 (Twenty-five millions);
- The Bank will finance up to 90% of the amount indicated on the concessionaire's invoice.
Who is the Car Loan aimed at?
It is aimed at Corporate Customers.
How many vehicles can the Bank finance?
The Bank can finance a maximum of 5 vehicles.
Are there any associated costs?
Yes, there are. According to the BAI General Price List for Operations in force.
With the entry of VAT, will stamp duty continue to be charged on all commissions?
In credit products, VAT has replaced stamp duty. Previously, 0.7% were charged in fees in price lists, now 14% VAT will be charged.
What is the credit analysis and decision period?
Up to 20 (twenty) working days.
What documentation must be submitted to apply for credit?
- Letter of request stating
- Goal;
- Amount;
- Credit guarantee to be offered;
- Sector of activity;
- Company history and brief future perspectives;
- Participation in other companies and / or related entities;
- Vehicle Proforma Invoice;
- Legal documentation of the company duly updated (with emphasis on the updated Commercial Certificate with a minimum validity period of 3 months);
- Partners and management Curricula (when applicable);
- Financial statements for the last 2 (two) years;
- General trial balance to date;
- Seniority statement of the receiving accounts balances;
- Cash flows if they do not have organized accounting and must be accompanied by the latest proof of payment of taxes;
- Negative tax certificate with a minimum validity period of 6 months;
Note: The branch must add the updated Account Opening Form to the credit process.
Is it necessary to formalize guarantees? Which ones?
Yes.
- Formalization of the following guarantees:
- Blank booklets subscribed by the company and endorsed by the partners;
- Insurance policy against all risks valid for a minimum period of 12 (twelve) months and renewable automatically until the date on which the borrower settles the last installment of the credit. The insured capital must be paid by the value of the sale of the invoice confirmed by the deposits made in the Concessionaire's Account or of the valuation by the Insurer selected by BAI.
Note: If the guarantee indicated does not appear in those listed, the Bank will indicate the supplementary documentation on a case.
- Domiciliation of revenue resulting from Contracts;
- Voluntary car mortgage on behalf of the Bank;

Depending on the credit limits to be granted individually or in the absence of some of the above guarantees, the following guarantees may be considered:
- Mortgage on real estate or other property subject to registration;
- Pledge of rights on deposits, bonds and shares;
- Pledge of things and goods not subject to registration - Attach goods invoice for;

What is the credit return term and form?
- The capital plus interest return term is up to 36 (thirty-six) months;
- Capital and interest are paid monthly according to the balance due.
